Saturday 23 December 2023 was a day to remember!

For the first time ever, we hosted a new-concept LIVE event featuring 15 DJs from the HYPEFAM, back-to-back (B2B) for over 12 hours! The event was the only way to properly kick back into the festive season!

The story…

To kick things off, we reached out to the HYPEFAM.global community via the Official James Hype Discord server and invited community DJs to submit a 20 minute recorded mix video in their chosen genre for an initial review. Once submission entry closed on Sunday 26th November, we put 25 submissions to the HYPEFAM.global Community to vote for their favourites mixes to help decide who’d be playing in one of 12 (maybe more) slots on Saturday 23rd December 2023 – LIVE on the HYPEFAM.global Twitch channel for the 12 Streams of Christmas!

When voting closed on Sunday 3 December, the 12 DJs with the highest vote count (with an additional 3 DJs – due to tied voting results) were offered a spot on the final stream! You can see the lineup below:

It was then a massive race to get everything prepared and everybody’s streams technical tested within a couple of weeks… and whilst we had to jump over some hurdles, the event was an overwhelming success!

We’d like to extend a massive thank you to everybody involved!

Without James and STEREOHYPE, there’s no existing platform for us here, and with that – there’s a dramatically smaller crowd to engage. It’s time to look at the year ahead!
Following the success of The 12 Streams of Christmas 2023, we’re happy to announce that (pending approval) we’ll be repeating this event next year. Luckily, we’ll have a lot more time to plan and complete pre-production this time – so we’ll have time to work on ways to make the show even better than it was this year! Keep your eyes pealed for more information within the James Hype Discord – however know that we’ll be doing a lot of work on other projects in the meantime, so there will be much more content coming from HYPEFAM.global in 2024.

Technical Deep Dive
We’ll be looking at producing some technical “behind-the-scenes” videos looking at how 12 Streams of Christmas came to be. These will likely go up on this website, so watch this space if you’re interested!

HYPEFAM.global signing off for 2023!
It’s been a mad launch year and we cannot wait to see what happens with the project in 2024! In the meantime, you can check out the streamer’s demo sets, and over time – more of the final sets will be published here! Who does this? Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays!
